IMHO, even if this proposed card is properly used to identify every farmer taking the loans from whatever sources, and is reimbursed through the same sources when the loans are waived by the union and/or state govt, the farmer's suicides could be avoided, which may be the single reason enough to go for it.

Then why do we all need it ?
Simple.... the guys in govt machinery and outside who cheat the farmers, leading them to suicides, are not farmers themselves. Hence all non-farmers must also get a unique numbered card.

However.........................!

Having said all this, I also know that the laws prevailing in this country are the best laws, but their governance and application by the concerned machinery is the worst.

So, even after having such cards, everything may still be 'Ram Bharose'
