I agree with Ram on this.  The only ones to benefit from the UID are the IT companies and those making the equipment for handling the biometric data.  One does not need a UID to make sure that money gets to the poor.  The money that is being diverted now will continue to be diverted.  The scheme appears to be a collosal waste of money.
