The Unique Identification Number is a great idea. But the fact of the matter is that the whole idea of id per se in India is not very foolproof. More than half the Sri Lankans in Europe, US, UK and else where in the world are refugees who left their country, came here applied for an Indian passport and then travelled to these and other destinations.

I think we need to get a foolproof system on the ground before we go in for an esoteric "Cloud" system like this one.
